Scope
- Product registration and permits (authority varies by category);
- Mandatory certification and testing;
- Labelling, instructions and local-language requirements;
- Import permits, origin and tariff classification;
- Prior trademark and IP search.
How we work
We start with an access route assessment: mandatory items, optional items and routes we advise against — each with responsible party, lead time and cost range. The client then decides whether to handle it directly or ask us to coordinate.
We do not provide legal opinions. Matters requiring legal characterisation are referred to licensed local counsel.
What is not included
- Price-only enquiries and quotation forwarding (commission sourcing separately)
- Contract manufacturing and OEM arrangements
- Legal, tax planning and audit opinions (issued by licensed local firms)
- Actual warehousing and distribution operations inside the Philippines
- Advance payment, collection on behalf, or trade finance
Steps and timeline
Timelines are indicative and depend on authority scheduling, counterparty availability and document completeness.
Deliverables
Mandatory, optional and discouraged routes with owner and lead time
Materials required per authority
Communication and progress with testing and certification bodies
Itemised, excluding unforeseen surcharges
Risks and what to prepare
| Uncertain access timelines | Certification and registration depend on authority scheduling; allow a 4–8 week buffer |
|---|---|
| Certificate upkeep | Certificates expire and change; missed renewal causes stock-outs |
| Channel blocking | An exclusive partner that does not invest stalls the market — tie exclusivity to minimum purchase and coverage |
| Price-band error | Converting domestic retail price by FX usually underestimates landed cost by 30%+ |
| Sample-to-production gap | A passing sample does not guarantee batch consistency; agree sampling and sealing |

Frequently asked
Do you only cover the Philippines?
Our local execution capability is currently concentrated in the Philippines, our first market. China-side scoping, supply chain coordination and project management can support other markets, but local execution is assessed case by case.
How soon will someone contact me after I submit an inquiry?
Messages received during business hours are usually answered within 2 hours; complex requirements get a scoping call within one business day. Every inquiry receives a reference number and is tracked internally.
Can we commission research only, without execution?
Yes. Research, channel development, access compliance, trial orders and promotion support can each be commissioned separately. Each engagement defines deliverables and boundaries to avoid ambiguity later.
Can you handle product certification directly?
We handle access route assessment, document coordination and follow-up. Testing and registration requiring licensed bodies or designated laboratories are issued by qualified institutions; we do not substitute for official determinations.
